 Job description

The Admissions Team are looking for a new Admissions Assistant (Enquiries), to be the first point of contact for enquiries from potential and current applicants regarding the University's courses, admissions processes and requirements.

With a customer-centred approach and a positive and helpful attitude, the postholder will be required to develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of: the University's portfolio of courses and entry requirements; University and UCAS admissions processes; and, a general overview of the broader social, sporting and welfare facilities that make up student life at the University. The postholder will liaise with admissions tutors and other University staff to maintain an up to date knowledge and will act as a central source of such information for the rest of the Admissions Team.

The post requires a proactive team member with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. As Admissions Assistant (Enquiries), you will be dealing with queries over the phone and via email so well-developed verbal and written communication skills are essential, with proven experience of working to tight deadlines. 

The Admissions Assistant (Enquiries) is expected to work flexibly, attending University Open Days and Experience Days to provide general advice, as well as assisting in Clearing.
