Lecturer in Work-Based Learning
Salary: up to £32,000, depending on experience
Status: Permanent, Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
Location: Greenwich Campus with flexibility to work across our other campus

About the role
Within this role, the successful applicant will be accountable to the Head of Centre for Work-Based Learning and Professional Programmes for lecturing and potentially module leadership on the BSc in Professional Management and the MSc in Professional Leadership (both work-based degrees). We face a set of challenges that provide an opportunity to gain a unique range of skills and experience and make a significant contribution to the growth and sustainability of the College.
The key responsibilities of this role, as a lecturer and module leader, will be to support the development and delivery of an outstanding student experience across the Centre’s programmes. You will be dealing flexibly with students who are also working professionals and will be able to support their needs as such. You will be responsible for the day to day operational management of module staffing and resources. This will include curriculum development, module leadership, work-based learning facilitation, delivery of teaching, learning and assessment strategy and the assurance and enhancement of academic standards.
To be successful, you will need to hold a relevant postgraduate qualification, or equivalent professional qualification and have experience in work-based learning. You will possess a proven track record in teaching on and/or leading modules and recent higher education teaching experience in the facilitation of work-based learning at undergraduate and post-graduate level. You will be comfortable with identifying and supervising projects that arise from, and are situated in, the learner's workplace. This learning may span a range of disciplines and practices. Experience in the delivery of blended learning would advantageous. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the ability to identify and secure development opportunities for the Department, Faculty or College and contribute to change implementation.
