Position Summary

Researchers in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at Colorado State University (CSU) are looking for a postdoctoral research associate with interests and possibly previous experiences in psycho-social intervention research. The postdoctoral research associate will be responsible for coordinating the implementation of a new intervention program designed to change adults’ negative views on aging with the objective to improve health-promoting behavior. Primary responsibilities include supervising the execution of the study, assuring the scientific integrity of the intervention implementation and the quality of the collected data; overseeing the data management; and performing the main data analyses. These activities are performed in consultation and collaboration with the Principal Investigator (PI). Additional responsibilities include assisting the PI with literature reviews, submission of protocols to the Institutional Review Board (IRB), preparing conference presentations, progress reports and manuscripts for publication, and assisting with the development of new grant applications. The postdoctoral research associate will also coordinate communications with community-based collaborators and will supervise the research assistants.

Required Job Qualifications

Must have doctoral degree in psychology, human development and family studies, or related field.

Preferred Job Qualifications

Prior experience with intervention research, including experience with intervention methodology and intervention-specific statistical methods, is preferred. In addition, prior experience with grant development and grant writing is preferred.
