Contract : Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £28,882 - £34,660 p.a. (Including LWA)

The General Manager is responsible for providing administrative support for Transitions Dance Company and arranging its touring schedule. Responsibilities include contracting and scheduling choreographers to work with the Company, organising the weekly rehearsal schedule, booking and managing the performance tour and workshops, and working with the Marketing & Communications Department on the promotion of the Company’s work. Strategic planning is a key aspect of the post, as is liaison with several internal departments.

You should be educated to degree level and have experience of administration/management in the arts sector, preferably in dance. Some experience of organising and managing a tour for a performing arts company and working with artists is essential and knowledge of funding and support for Dance in the UK would be an advantage.

You should have a confident personality and an enthusiasm for dance. Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills are essential. You will need to be flexible and have an ability to work on your own initiative and as a member of a team.
