Salary range £23,000 - £25,000 per annum

The Department of Psychology (BPS Accredited) is seeking to appoint a full-time Laboratory Technician to begin in September 2017. As part of the on-going development of curriculum within Psychology, we are looking to appoint a new colleague who can manage and coordinate behavioural projects conducted by faculty and undergraduate students of the Psychology
Department. Reporting to the Dean of the School of Communications, Arts and Social Sciences, the Psychology Laboratory Technician’s duties will include supervision of student data collection, quality verification and storage; participant recruitment and utilisation; space and equipment management; overseeing the adoption of standard procedures and policies across the lab and researchers, and establishing the participant pool.
An undergraduate degree in Psychology or equivalent working experience is required. The successful candidate will be invited to work closely with faculty to support courses with a laboratory component at all levels, to assist with the newly established Mind in Society Research Centre, and to play a role in planning future directions for the Department.
The Psychology Laboratory Technician will primarily be located at the University’s Kensington Campus but will also be required to work for approximately one day per week at the University’s Richmond Campus.
