Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Mathematics, (Temporary Position)
In 2012, University College Dublin (UCD) and Beijing University of Technology (BJUT) agreed to work towards the establishment of a new world-class institution of higher education. The Beijing-Dublin International College (BDIC) is a recognized college of BJUT and UCD, offering several degree programmes including a four-year bachelor degree in finance, the B.Comm. (Finance), and a B.Sc. in Economics and Finance. The programmes are delivered through the medium of the English language. The present academic post arises in connection with this development and represents an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to be involved in the evolution of degree programmes within this initiative.
The successful candidate will undertake teaching duties within the School of Mathematics and Statistics, both in Dublin and in Beijing, and will support and develop the School’s research activities. It is expected that the successful candidate will be resident in Beijing for one semester (approximately 18 weeks) and perhaps for up to half a year (26 weeks).
Salary Scale €32,820-€57,620 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
