Job overview

Working in the Department of Business and Management, comprising four subject clusters, of which Strategy and Operations Management (SOM) is one, you will focus on teaching primarily in the area of Strategic Management and Enterprise.

The SOM subject cluster currently has thirty permanent members of academic staff, including three professors, and a number of visiting professors and fellows, adjunct teaching staff and doctoral students.

The subject cluster comprises two Fields: Strategy and International Business, and Operations and Information Management.

Colleagues in the Strategy and International Business Field contribute to teaching across the range of the Faculty of Business and Law undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in a broad range of subject areas including strategy, international business, and enterprise and entrepreneurship.

You will join a thriving community of academics engaged in a broad range of research and scholarly activities ranging from strategy, international business, foresight, and institutional theory, to social responsibility, social innovation, and organizational history and memory.

This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give our students access to everything they need to succeed – with £200m being spent on new state-of-the-art learning spaces and accommodation between now and 2020 to enhance our offer even further. Frenchay campus is within close proximity to excellent motorway links and within walking distance of two train stations, making UWE Frenchay Campus the ideal place to work for those wishing to commute to Bristol.
