The La Trobe Communication Clinic in the School of Allied Health is a teaching, learning and research facility where students attain clinical experience in diagnosis and client management.  The position of Voice Clinic Coordinator / Speech Pathologist or Speech Pathologist / Clinical Educator (Voice Clinic) reports to the Clinic Manager and works in close collaboration with academic colleagues in the Discipline of Speech Pathology.

About the role

The successful candidate will undertake a variety of functions, including coordination of the voice program, providing support for clients with voice difficulties including transgender voice and communication services, student supervision, and working collaboratively with clinical and academic colleagues in the field of voice. The position will be expected to assist the Clinic Manager with the development and implementation of policies and procedures and participate in the development and evaluation of clinical services.

Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you will have a recognised qualification within the field of speech pathology and will be eligible for membership of Speech Pathology Australia with at least 4/5 years of clinical experience as a speech pathologist working with clients with voice disorders (depending on which position you wish to apply for). You must have a strong interest in clinical research, strong analytical, time management and computer skills. A commitment to speech pathology student education and an interest in working with transgender clients is essential.

A valid Working with Children Check and satisfactory Police Check will be required prior to commencement
