Which is why we’re inviting exceptional candidates to apply for our inaugural Vice Chancellor’s Research Fellowship. It’s a fantastic opportunity to take the first steps on an independent career, and be part of high-profile research that offers great potential for publication.

As a Research Fellow, it’ll be your role to establish and build an independent research programme with an international reputation. As part of this, you’ll ensure projects achieve their objectives, form and develop collaborations with existing and external researchers will see you generate multi and interdisciplinary research outputs’ writing research outputs for international journals and other quality publications.

We’re looking for academics in the following area:

  • Engines and Hybrid Powertrains

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone with a PhD, and a substantial period of postdoctoral (or equivalent) research experience. It’s also a fantastic chance to build and develop your already strong publications track record. In fact, you’ll come to us with a history of writing articles in high-quality peer reviewed journals, and the ability to enhance the research culture of both the department and faculty. Responsible for managing major projects and teams, you’ll also have mentored or supervised junior research staff or students.
