College Profile:

One of the very first Colleges to be established at QU,The College of Sharia and Islamic Studies was established in 1977 to support and encourage religious traditions in Qatari society. The College prepares and trains students for the study of the Holy Quoran, the Sunna and related disciplines.
Duties & Responsibilities  

1. Developing and teaching effectivelyDawa and Contemporary Islamic Thought courses, in both Arabic and English languages, with the ability of using modern technology such as multimedia and e-learning environment. 

2. Carrying out research in line with the research agenda of the department and college as well as fostering a collaborative research agenda with other departments within Qatar University and beyond.
3. Fulfilment of other academic duties in accordance with Qatar University academic bylaws.


1. PhD in relevant discipline.

2. At least three years of teaching experience in the teaching discipline or relevant field at notable university.

3. Displaying competencies in conducting Academic Research in the relevant field.

 4. Displaying good standard in written and spoken English languages and computer are preferred.

1.  A three-year renewable contract.
