Aston Law School, a constituent part of Aston Business School, has a distinctive mission – the provision of commercially intelligent legal education – reflecting our position in a leading international business school and in a university focused on maximising the employability of its students. We currently offer two qualifying Law degrees and deliver Law modules across a wide range of Business and Management programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. We have ambitious expansion plans and are now seeking to recruit a Teaching Fellow to support these plans by providing additional teaching and enterprise expertise.

The posts are available at Grade 8 or 9 depending on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

We welcome applications from those with teaching or professional expertise in most fields of legal study but currently have no teaching needs in Public International Law.

An ability to contribute to teaching of commercial law (broadly defined and including, but not limited to, any of the following: arbitration & dispute resolution, fraud or intellectual property) or legal skills is desirable. An ability to be able to contribute to a foundation/core subject on our LLBs would also be advantageous.

The post is available from September 2017, or as soon as possible thereafter. Informal enquiries about this post should be addressed to Dr Ryan Murphy (Acting Head of Law) by email r.murphy1@aston.ac.uk or telephone 0121 204 3185.

Interviews are due to take place in the last week in May 2017.
