The Education Portfolio is headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice President who leads the planning and implementation of the University's strategies related to RMIT's academic programs and the RMIT student experience. The Portfolio is responsible for services to support the quality of RMIT programs, including the professional development of academic staff, continuous improvement of the student experience, learning and teaching outcomes and the management of learning and research information sources.

The Role and Your Responsibilities

The Advisor, in the Course and Program Administration (CPA) unit is responsible for the operational activities related to the class scheduling and student timetabling processes in the Student Administration Management System (SAMS), Student Timetabling System (STS), and other associated administrative systems including user support and coordination. This position involves planning for process improvement, preparing and conducting training for system users, liaising with ITS project teams, writing procedures, maintaining the configuration and processes for system configuration.

Skills & Experience Required

The successful candidate will bring to the role your high level of professional verbal and written communication skills. Your ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders will be critical to your success in this role. Furthermore, you will have excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to manage deadlines and proactive in implementing business process improvements.

A Degree in relevant discipline or significant experience is required.

This role will require satisfactory confirmation of a Working with Children Check.
