The Education Portfolio is headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice President who leads the planning and implementation of the University's strategies related to RMIT's academic programs and the RMIT student experience. The Portfolio is responsible for services to support the quality of RMIT programs, including the professional development of academic staff, continuous improvement of the student experience, learning and teaching outcomes and the management of learning and research information sources. The Role

Working within RMIT Link, the Sport Officer will work under the direction of the Senior Coordinator, Sport to deliver sporting events across RMIT's three main Victorian campuses. These programs are aimed at enhancing the RMIT student experience and address the University's priority to build student participation and belonging. A key part of this role will be to encourage and facilitate student involvement in the development and delivery of sport.

Your Responsibilities

The Sport Officer is responsible for the coordination, implementation and evaluation of sport on campus across the City, Bundoora and Brunswick campuses. In consultation with the Senior Coordinator, Sport the Sport Officer redesigns components of the Sport program to maximise student engagement. It also involves encouraging and facilitating student involvement in the development and delivery of sport programs, events and services.

Skills & Experience Required

You will have demonstrated experience in sports administration and event management together with significant customer service experience where you have had to develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Furthermore, a commitment to implementing a culture of equity, inclusion and diversity in programs and events and involving students in the planning, management and delivery of sporting events will be critical to your success in this role.

Basic knowledge of the adobe suite (Photoshop and Illustrator) as well as Electronic Direct Mail campaigns with MailChimp are desirable.

This role will require satisfactory confirmation of a Working with Children Check.
