Chair in Management
The Business School at the University of Aberdeen is entering an exciting and ambitious phase of its development. In order to enable its growth and development as a stand-alone unit, the University is making a major investment in a range of posts at senior and other levels in Accountancy, Finance, and Management. These appointments are to support growing student numbers and research profiles within Aberdeen, and new international partnerships in China, South Korea and Qatar.
As part of this investment the School is seeking to recruit a Professor in Management who can make a significant contribution to leadership in both research and teaching, as well as working to take forward the development of our research culture, capacities and outcomes.
The successful applicants will have a strong, internationally recognised publication record and will have a track record in peer-rated grant applications and postgraduate supervision. We are happy to consider any specialism within the Management area, and especially in the area of International Business. Research excellence and an enthusiasm to encourage and support research capacity building within the School are important requirements for this post. Effective and innovative teaching and teaching leadership are also key aspects. Proven administration and management experience would also be desirable in the successful applicant.
A highly competitive remuneration package will be available for exceptional candidates considered for appointment at the Professorial level. Any appointment will be made subject to satisfactory references.
