Applications are invited for a full time Senior Lecturer in Management (with particular needs in Strategy, Innovation and General Management) at Maynooth University School of Business (US grade is Associate Professor). You will be joining a faculty of research led educators in our Business School. Our student body has grown significantly in the last three years, supported by a portfolio of 9 undergraduate degrees and a suite of postgraduate programmes and a PhD programme. We have made 18 new faculty appointments at all levels in the last three years. We are hiring a further 8 faculty this year. Our new Senior Lecturers will play an active role in research led education, research leadership and service and the next phases of growth and development of the school.

Our faculty focus on research that is impactful within their academic community, their students, and their industry contexts. We have published in a wide range of leading international journals, including 12 ABS 4 ranked journals since 2013. Our Management faculty have recently published in journals such as Journal of Management, Research Policy, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Academy of Management Education and Learning, Journal of International Business Studies, Organisation Studies, Organisational Research Methods, Long Range Planning, amongst others. Faculty have also published journals such as Human Resource Management – both US and UK, Accounting Organisations and Society, Human Relations, Work Employment and Society, Information Systems Journal, Supply Chain Management An International Review, the European Marketing Journal, Journal of Advertising, amongst others.

Our portfolio of degrees is a blend of single honours undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, double majors combining Business with other departments from the Faculty of Social Science, and a PhD program. We have a single honours degrees in Management, Marketing, International Business and Equine Business, and three business options on our Arts degree (Management, Marketing and International Business), that can be combined with over 20 other subjects (e.g. languages, computer science, anthropology amongst others). All these degrees and our portfolio of postgraduate degrees have Management modules (including strategy, innovation and a range of general management module). Our Senior Lecturers will teach on these programmes as well as playing a role in the development of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Management.

The successful candidate will have a research record and pipeline of significant achievement and potential in the field of Management (including Strategy, Innovation and General Management disciplines) You will have demonstrated mature capability as a research led Management educator and an ability to contribute to the development of Management programmes and research, individually, and within a team.

Salary:

Lecturer (Post 1995*): €65,000 to €88,505 (8 points)
Appointment will be made in accordance with the Department of Finance pay guidelines.
*New entrants to the public sector will be appointed on the first point of the Lecturer (Post 1995) pay scale.
