The portfolio of the Vice-Chancellor and President is responsible for providing leadership to Monash University for governance, strategic planning, philanthropy, alumni relations, and external relations, including leading and developing relationships with a range of local and international stakeholders and partners such as alumni, government, industry and strategic alliance affiliates.
This essential portfolio is seeking a Director, Quality to provide key leadership in quality assurance and policy governance, with a particular focus on managing the relationship with the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) and ensuring our compliance with the TEQSA Act and other relevant legislation.
The successful candidate will provide key leadership to the University by managing Monash's relationship with TEQSA, including all compliance activities, responding to audits, and performing change management activities. The Director will work with a range of internal and external senior stakeholders, taking responsibility for the management of all aspects relating to compliance with TEQSA regulatory requirements, as well as maintaining and providing oversight of the University's policy framework.
Crucial to managing these responsibilities you will need to ensure that any changes or potential changes are well-communicated and responded to University-wide in order to represent and protect the interests of the University.
As the successful candidate you will possess a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, supported by extensive relevant leadership experience and significant experience of ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements through leadership of major regulatory events such as re-registration. Your strong communications skills will be invaluable in this role as you build and maintain key relationships. With a knowledge of international regulatory environments you will be familiar with complex policy and compliance requirements and be able to rely on strong knowledge of government policy settings for higher education.
