The Biomedical and Biological Sciences Subject group within the School of Life & Health Sciences is seeking to appoint a Teaching Fellow to support delivery and assessment of taught materials across the Biological & Biomedical and Biological Sciences programmes within the he School of Life & Health Sciences (LHS). LHS is an established provider of high quality learning & teaching in a range of biological and healthcare subjects and our programmes are consistently ranked highly in the National Student Survey (NSS).  We now wish to strengthen our teaching team and applications are invited for the post of full-time Teaching Fellow in the department of Biomedical and Biological Science.  Successful candidates will demonstrate an enthusiasm for education and a commitment to the development of Biomedical and Biological Scientists.

Applicants must hold a PhD in a relevant subject and have experience in developing, delivering and assessing Biomedical/Biological related content at degree level. If a suitable teaching qualification is not already held, the successful appointee will be expected to register for the PgCert L&T at Aston University.The successful applicant will be expected to teach and assess students using a variety of formats including lectures, tutorials, dissertations and laboratory projects, to set and mark exam papers and attend relevant programme meetings. In addition, the successful applicant would be expected to engage with the community through delivery of presentations and short interactive courses in schools and other learning environments when required.
