The Director of Teaching (History) will provide strategic and operational leadership in history teaching in the School of Humanities. S/he will act as Programme Director for the BA in History (with additional responsibility for joint-honours and undergraduate courses). S/he will provide leadership in contributing to new initiatives such as Bristol Futures and Arts 2020 and ensure that performance and operational plans for history teaching are developed and achieved. S/he will also teach, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and undertake independent scholarship on history-related research and/or pedagogy.

The appointment start date is 1st September 2017.

Salary: Starting salary £49,772 - £55,998 per annum.
