About You

You will hold, or be in the final stage of a PhD in a relevant field and have evidence of high quality research, preferably with publications suitable for submission to the next REF exercise. With excellent communication skills and previous teaching experience at undergraduate level you will demonstrate a positive attitude to the teaching and research goals of the Department. Applications are welcome from candidates with expertise in applied movement science, children’s movement development, and/or children’s physical activity and health.

About the Role

You will be able to lead the teaching of children’s fundamental movement and development on our Physical Education and School Sport undergraduate degree programme, and contribute to module delivery in areas including applied movement science, practical physical education activities, and physical activity and health. You will be expected to contribute to our other undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, to the Department’s research activity, and as appropriate, to the academic administration of the Department.
