Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day-to-day operational activities of the Academic Engagement team, processes and workflows to ensure effective and efficient delivery to meet operational targets.
  • Responsible for developing and sustaining effective relationship management with academic departments and collaborative partners, including effective liaison over performance issues.
  • Communicate customer insights and liaise with others in Library Services to initiate services that respond to the needs of academic colleagues and students.
  • Responsible for staff management processes and team development, fostering strong team values.
  • Foster excellent cross-team collaboration, ensuring delivery of strategic and operational plans.
  • Work with the Head of Academic Engagement & Collections to plan and manage collection development activities and research support services.
  • Represent Library Services at academic committee meetings.
  • Foster excellent cross-team collaboration, ensuring delivery of strategic and operational plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate services.
  • Deputise for the Head of Academic Engagement & Collections in their absence.
