Classification: ANU Officer Grade 4/5 (Technical)
Salary Package: $60,260 - $73,309 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Terms: Full time, Fixed Term for 2 years with a possibility of extension
The ANU College of Medicine, Biology and Environment (CMBE) brings together medical, biological, population health, psychological and environmental sciences in six schools: The ANU Medical School, The Fenner School of Environment and Society, The John Curtin School of Medical Research, the Research School of Biology, the Research School of Population Health, and the Research School of Psychology. Together the schools integrate high level research with a research-led curriculum that encompasses all of these different areas.
The Research Technician provides support to members of the T cell Responses in Inflammation Group under the Scientific Leadership of Dr Anne Bruestle. The research is focused on understanding the biology of T cell subsets in autoimmune and inflammatory animal models. This is a dynamic and successful team performing cutting edge research using novel technologies.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Research Technician with advanced skills in tissue culture, flow cytometry, immunological methods, molecular biology and mouse handling to join our team.
To succeed in this role you will be an excellent communicator who is organised and has experience in the relevant laboratory techniques and a willingness to work with laboratory animals.
