Overview:

Griffith Health is one of the largest and most diverse single academic Health faculties in the Australian University sector. The Health Group consists of eight schools (Allied Health Sciences, Applied Psychology, Dentistry and Oral Health, Human Services and Social Work, Medicine, Medical Science, Nursing and Midwifery, and Pharmacy) and provides an extensive array of high quality and innovative education programs ranging from the enabling biomedical and social health sciences to professional and clinical disciplines. The Griffith University School of Human Services and Social Work offers a range of educational programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the Logan and Gold Coast campuses, with an external Masters of Social Work through Open Universities Australia. The School has a strong research focus, with academic staff from diverse disciplinary backgrounds.

This is a continuing, full time position primarily based at the Logan campus, however the successful applicant will be required to travel to other campuses of the University.

The role:

This position is integral to the continued development of the Schools programs offered in external mode. The Lecturer - Online Development will assist in converting all undergraduate courses into content for online, conduct online teaching as required and contribute to scholarship in learning and teaching with a focus on development of online expertise. The position will contribute to the administration and promotion of the School and its programs. The post has a particular strategic purpose for the School's engagement with online education.

The person:

The successful applicant will have tertiary qualifications in Social Work and a PhD. The applicant will also have experience in online teaching and course development. The appointee will work with the School's Social Work industry partners to achieve excellence in social work and human service.

Salary range:

Lecturer, Level B: $89,357- $106,115 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $04,548 - $124,154 per annum.
