Lecturer £32,004 to £38,183 per annum (UH7) / Senior Lecturer £38,183 to £48,327 per annum (UH8)

Full time position working 37 hours per week

The School of Engineering and Technology is seeking to appoint a new Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in the area of Communications and Networks, with specific knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Mobile and wireless communications
  • Optical networks
  • Wireless sensor networks
  • Machine-to-machine communications 

You should have a first degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science, and a PhD in one of the above or closely related areas. You should also have good communication, organisation and time-management skills. Preference will be given to individuals with research, teaching and/or industrial experience.

You will have the potential to undertake the full range of duties commensurate with a dynamic and progressive School with an established reputation for high quality education and research. You will be expected to contribute to teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels as well as carry out research and undertake commercial activities in the Division of Electronic, Communications and Electrical Engineering.
