This post if for a full-time Post-Doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 for a period of 12-18 months, where the primary role will be to conduct research on the eSMART: Randomised controlled trial to evaluate electronic Symptom Management using the Advanced Symptom Management System (ASyMS) Remote Technology for patients with cancers project.  The successful candidate will work with Drs Furlong and Fox and their team in UCD, supported by international partners, to specifically work on funded research on symptom management of people with a diagnosis of breast, colo-rectal or haematological cancers. As the research activity involves engagement with people affected by cancer nationally and at other European sites, some travel will be necessary.

Thus the successful applicant for this post will play a role in liaising with a range of cancer clinicians, community staff and the voluntary sector to ensure optimal impact of the research activity and ensure the eSMART RCT is successfully executed, completed and disseminated.
