The School of Modern Languages at the University of Bristol seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Hispanic Media & Digital Communication from 1 January 2018. Applications are accepted from scholars with expertise in any field of Hispanic Media & Digital Communication studies. The appointment will be made at Lecturer b level (Grade J).

The successful candidate will be an expert in the field of Hispanic Media & Digital Communication. In addition to delivering undergraduate teaching in this area to students across the School of Modern Languages and collaborating with existing staff in theatre and performance to teach School and cross-departmental units on media and digital communication, s/he will be a member of the Department of Hispanic, Latin American and Portuguese Studies and will design and teach units for the Department and will relish working collaboratively on cross-Faculty initiatives in media and digital communication.

Salary: Starting salary £36,001- £40,523 per annum.

Timescale of appointment:

Long-listed candidates will be notified on or about 22nd May 2017 and will be invited to submit for consideration two pieces of written/published work no later than 26th May 2017.

Short-listed candidates will be notified on or about 5th June 2017 and invited to interview. They may be invited to give a presentation as part of the selection process.

Interview date: 22nd June 2017.
Anticipated start date: 1 January 2018
