UTS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences is seeking to appoint both a  a Senior Lecturer to join its leading Public Communication program.

Based within the School of Communication, you will work under the direction of the highly regarded Professor of Public Communication.  You will support and strengthen curriculum delivery and development, undertake research with a view to publishing original and innovative analysis and findings, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the program.

You will have the ability to teach and develop relevant curriculum for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Public Communication, with relevant qualifications and experience in one or more of the following fields:

  • public relations
  • corporate communication
  • government communication
  • public affairs

As the Senior Lecturer, you will be expected to make significant and original contributions in teaching and subject coordination in the area of public communication. You will substantially engage in and contribute to scholarly research and contribute to academic leadership and curriculum development.

To be appointed at Senior Lecturer level, you should have demonstrated ability in successful subject coordination and management of teams and groups in a multi-disciplinary academic setting; experience in supervising research higher degree students and the ability to attract research funding and managing research projects.

Remuneration & Benefits

Base Salary Range: $119,674 to $133,719 pa (Level  C)

This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary. Employee benefits include flexible work practices, child care centres, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
