The Faculty of Linguistics, Literature and Culture, Institute of Slavonic Studies invites applications for the position, starting 01.04.2019, of 

Chair (W3) of Slavic Literary Studies

The successful applicant will fully represent, both in teaching and research, the discipline of Slavonic Literature and Literary History with a particular focus on Russian as well as at least on one of the West Slavic literatures. An appropriate breadth of knowledge in Literary History and Literary Theory and their ties with Cultural Studies are expected. The incumbent should involve the Institute of Slavonic Studies in international networking and the building up an international course of studies. A willingness to be involved in academic selfadministration, to teach in the English language, to attract external funding as well as an open-minded attitude to cooperating with colleagues in current academic fields at TU Dresden are expected. Applicants must fulfil the employment qualification requirements § 58 of the Act Governing Academic Freedom in Higher Education in the Free State of Saxony (Saxon Academic Freedom in Higher Education Act – SächsHSFG).
