The School of Histories, Languages and Cultures wishes to appoint up to 5 Lecturers in Politics/International Relations. These appointments represent a significant investment in Politics at Liverpool, underpinned by high levels of recent growth in undergraduate and postgraduate student numbers. The appointments are framed with respect to the department’s ambitious future plans and reflect the strategic development of departmental, school, faculty and university research priorities.

You will have a PhD in Politics, International Relations or a related subject and a record of publications of international excellence. It is anticipated that 2 of these appointments will be in International Relations (IR) and 1 in Political Theory, however for the remaining posts, applications are encouraged from specialists in any sub-field of Politics or IR which link with our strategic research themes.
