The newly created position of Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research Partnerships) is responsible for ensuring a strategic approach to the stewardship of the university's research partnerships, overseeing the implementation of processes that develop and sustain research relationships in the interests of the university and its partners. It leads major research initiatives that involve industry partners; ensures technology transfer and commercialisation are attractive to inventors and to potential industry partnerships; provides oversight and development of consultancies in the interests of the university; and facilitates the take up by external parties for the university's Intellectual Property.
Applicants should possess a distinguished record of research and scholarship together with a scholarly reputation of the highest quality, ideally delivered through strong engagement with industry; and/or an exceptionally well-motivated and qualified candidate with an outstanding record of providing strategic and visionary leadership in building partnerships and new ventures and maximising performance in the face of scale and complexity.
An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
