Lecturer (Teaching and Scholarship) in British Politics

GRADE 7

£32,958 - £38,183 pa

You will be required to teach on existing British Politics modules, particularly in year 1, and will work with other staff in the Department to develop and embed a suite of new taught provision and extra-curricular activity focused on promoting student engagement and employability. These activities will include: the expansion of the Parliamentary Placement Scheme to devolved parliaments/assemblies and to local government; development of the Politics Hour on Liverpool Student Radio into a module in radio production; the creation of a new active-learning module through which students will reflect on volunteering and activism undertaken either on or off campus; establishing credit-bearing opportunities for students to undertake research-based placements, either on or off campus, with a particular emphasis on developing quantitative skills. You will have (or be about to obtain) a PhD or equivalent qualification in Politics or a related subject and you will have experience of teaching British Politics at undergraduate level.
