An exciting opportunity in the field of Data Mining to contribute to an interdisciplinary project in the area of Human Performance Assessment funded by Defence Science and Technology Group.  This is a fixed term position available initially for 12 months with an extension for a second year, subject to performance indicators being met, to be negotiated and agreed on before the start of position. 

About the successful applicant

To be successful in this role you will:

  • PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, or a relevant discipline.
  • an ability to conduct research in Rule Mining, Process Mining, Cognitive Activity Recognition, Classification, and/or Association Algorithms, demonstrated through a record of publications in high-ranking journals in machine learning and/or data mining, and
  • an ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks within agreed timeframes.
