Description of Work Unit
The College of Business at Colorado State University is an AACSB accredited business school which enrolls more than 3,800 undergraduate students in eight business concentrations and approximately 1,500 graduate students across eight graduate programs. While we are the largest undergraduate and graduate major on campus, we strive to create a small college environment.
The mission of the Information Technology Department in the College of Business is to develop a robust and state of the art technical platform which propels the college’s programs toward success.
The Software Architecture Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, documenting and configuring packaged software architecture/ capability to add business value. This position researches functional requirements, translates the requirements into system configurations, and tests and deploys those configurations. In addition, this position is responsible for providing support with system maintenance, as required.
These applications are critical to facilitating accurate and efficient data flow, usage, processing and analysis within and between the mission critical academic systems in the College of Business.
This candidate must have a strong working knowledge of higher education learning technologies and will be able to demonstrate that knowledge in examples of previous experiences. This position requires interaction with students, information technology staff, administrators, and other external stakeholders to the College of Business.
Required Job Qualifications
•Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or closely related field
•One year of work experience in a business analysis role.
•2+ years’ experience working within an IT higher educational environment.
•Strong working knowledge of current higher education IT processes, learning technologies and systems.
•Strong capability with Microsoft CRM configuration.
•Strong familiarity /capability with CRM best practice.
•Ability to properly configure MS CRM to meet structural and security needs.
•Basic proficiency with the following technical skills: .net C# Java scripting, Force, APEX Triggers, Process Builder and SF Workflows.
•Capability with report writers and analytics tools.
•Technical capability with Salesforce and Pardot applications are desired.
•Documented experience working with the following systems / toolsets:
oSalesforce (analytics, workflows, process builder) APEX Triggers, Force, SF Process Builder, SF Workflows, Microsoft CRM, SUMO, Slate, Biz Talk

Job Duty Category Business Process and Reporting Duty/Responsibility
oAnalyze existing business processes using applied IT knowledge and recommend process improvements for the College of Business business process. Conduct system level testing to ensure accurate results and optimal performance solutions. Prepare written procedures, including flowcharts, specs, and related to programs applications. Provide code-based solutions where necessary.
o Create dashboards using product-specific analytic tools; define, implement and maintain improved business systems reporting needs; facilitate and manage reporting needs in deployed CRM systems and other related application systems

oMaintain security model for CRM System; provide governance direction for CRM operations; monitor data quality; perform rigorous testing and data validation
