£32,003 - £46,925 a year, with opportunity to progress to £51,260 a year  
Hours 0.8 FTE, to start as soon as possible, permanent

We are seeking to appoint a Screenwriting Lecturer/Senior Lecturer with industry experience in production, script editing or script development across television, film, radio and/or multiplatform outputs such as games and web fiction. Additional experience in writing for theatre and performance would be particularly welcome. Candidates will have extensive experience of teaching, student pastoral care and course development in Higher Education, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and will have the potential to contribute to and help develop the research outputs of the subject area. They will also be able to introduce additional high quality industry links and networks to this well-respected course, in order to embed students’ employability skills, aspirations and professional development.

We are looking for candidates who can extend the Department’s work and contribute to the Institute’s commitment to collaborative working including cross-institute collaborations and ‘real impact’ projects in for example, one or more of the following areas: mental health; science & environment; education & writing for children and young people.
