The School of Psychological & Social Sciences at York St John University is a vibrant and ambitious academic unit based on a magnificent campus in the heart of York. We are seeking a Senior Lecturer to make a permanent and full-time contribution to our vibrant undergraduate and postgraduate offers, and to further strengthen our growing research activity. Our School offers a number of undergraduate degrees that confer the Graduate Basis for Chartership with the British Psychological Society, and a dynamic, developing postgraduate provision in both taught and research degrees.  

The successful candidate will have the relevant knowledge, experience and qualifications to make a substantial contribution to teaching Counselling Psychology, and a demonstrable research profile which is well positioned to contribute to REF2021.

Candidates should possess experience in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research supervision, and thesis examination. They should have a successful record of attracting research funding, and have research interests that align with the School’s intellectual strengths in Cognitive, Developmental or Social Psychology.
