We are seeking a skilled Research Associate to join the team in the School of Clinical Sciences under the supervision of Professor David Murphy, on a maternity cover basis.

You will work on an MRC funded project entitled “Regulatory and functional pathways mediating the control of central osmotic defences by hypothalamic transcription factor CREB3L1”.

You will have experience with the construction, characterization and in vivo application of lentiviral gene transfer vectors, and with gene expression quantification techniques (qPCR, in situ hybridisation, immunocytochemistry).

You will also have the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues whilst using your own initiative to solve problems encountered in the research context.
