This is an exciting time to join the Faculty of Management and Law at the University of Bradford. As an international leader in business and legal education, research and knowledge transfer, we have more than 50 years’ experience of pushing the boundaries, regionally, nationally and internationally. We are proud to have ‘triple accreditation’ from the three leading international bodies, AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS. We also perform well in the Financial Times (FT) rankings, and continue to build on our research strengths in readiness for REF 2020. Our activities cover a full spectrum of business disciplines as evidenced through our academic programmes at UG, PGT and PGR. We teach undergraduate, masters and doctoral students, deliver executive education and consultancy and create new knowledge through our research. We are passionate about Making Knowledge Work.

The Head of the Law School is responsible to the Dean of Faculty for the overall strategic development and management of the Law School, overseeing the design and successful delivery of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and leading the School’s research activity. Our new Head of Law School will be an experienced and accomplished academic, with strong strategic skills and proven ability to lead. An excellent track record in a relevant research area is required. The Head of the Law School is a senior leadership role with the University community and the post holder will promote the growth of the discipline.

The Head of Law will enhance the Faculty’s existing global reach, through building educational partnerships, research collaborations and consultancy around the world. It is desirable that the successful candidate has experience of international working. The focus of the role is to lead and develop the Law School. The Law School is a dynamic and exciting place to work, with a strong commitment to social justice. We are especially keen to hear from those with experience in developing research capacity and culture, and the successful development and delivery of postgraduate programmes. The ability to persuade, influence, motivate, and establish credibility with a wide range of stakeholders, both within the organisation and across the sector, is essential.
