The Director provides both strategic leadership and sound business management for Murdoch University’s internationalisation initiatives. The Director will develop and implement strategy to attract, support, and retain international students. This will include the management and promotion of Murdoch University’s international profile and relationships, including the support of all phases of the international student experience.
Reporting to the Deputy Vice Chancellor International (DVC I), the Director, International will be responsible for providing leadership of the University’s international recruitment and student mobility strategy, ensuring a commercially sound operation is achieved.
The successful candidate will have:
- significant senior leadership experience in sales, business development and marketing, combined with proven ability to exercise considerable expertise and initiative to ensure the development and implementation of innovative, effective and responsive strategic marketing and business development plans to support international student recruitment.
- an excellent understanding of the current issues and trends within international education and the challenges facing universities internationally.
- substantial experience working in international student recruitment across a range of countries, familiarity and proven experience in operating in Asia and the sub-continent will be highly regarded.
