Description: Curtin University is embarking on an exciting initiative in health data analytics to complement our established research areas in health services, population health research, clinical trials and the NHMRC Centre for Clinical Research Excellence in Cardiovascular Outcomes Improvement.
The Health Data Analytics initiative aims to develop Australia’s ability to utilise large scale health datasets from a variety of administrative and clinical settings to better understand care practices associated with positive health outcomes and train a future workforce in health data analytics.
As Deputy Head, you will play a leading role in supporting the strategic management of the Health Data Analytics group and work closely with the Head, Health Data Analytics and Directors of other areas to achieve operational goals.
Your responsibilities will include the development of training programs in health data analytics, support the management of research themes and taking a leading role in driving the research and training agenda in Health Data Analytics. You will be expected to proactively represent the Health Data Analytics area and build alliances with collaborators both internally and within external organisations.
You need a doctoral qualification and extensive research, teaching and course development experience in a relevant field, along with experience managing the ethical and governance aspects of teaching and research. Your ability to lead, guide and mentor staff is imperative to your success in this position.
Benefits and Remuneration: The salary ranges presented are those which are contained within the University's Enterprise Agreements; as are the employee benefits which include employer superannuation contribution at the rate of the current Government Superannuation Guarantee amount up to 17 percent, study assistance, a comprehensive salary packaging and wellness programs and flexible and family friendly work practices.
