The University of Greenwich has a growing reputation. Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer and her senior team, the Director of Student and Academic Services is a senior, strategic role focused on the delivery of an outstanding and coherent infrastructure to support a student experience to match our ambition.

Leading a team of over 130 staff, your remit will be to provide strategic leadership and management for the student services and registry teams and activities within the Directorate and to develop the optimal operating models. You will be expected to be innovative, ambitious and solutions-focused in delivering the best possible service delivery, and a high-profile champion for enhancing and developing the student experience. In addition, you will act as Secretary to the Academic Council, supporting the Council and its business.

Significant experience of senior management of at least one of the functions encompassed by the role within UK Higher Education is essential. More importantly, you will be able to evidence the delivery of excellent services, thought leadership in this area, and a proactive approach to deliver strategic goals. Key to your success will be influencing and negotiating skills enabling you to work with, and command the respect and trust of the academic community as well as the executive leadership.
