Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Learning Analytics
The Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology both have an impressive record of innovation in the development of technology to support learning. The Centre for eLearning Innovations and Partnerships in Science and Engineering (eLIPSE) acts as an incubator for technologies and innovations supporting learning.
eLIPSE's growing portfolio of highly innovative eLearning tools capitalise on the capture of student's digital traces, which can be deployed to enhance student learning, particularly in very large classes that employ technology enhanced active learning. A significant goal of the Centre is directed towards providing personalised feedback and analysis to students on how they are tracking with their learning.
A key aspect of this position will be to assist the eLIPSE Leadership Team in ensuring a high standard of educational research underpins the direction of the design and evaluation of eLIPSE's "ecosystem" of digital learning support tools.
Applicants should possess a PhD in an area related to educational research. This experience will include mixed-methods and action research and a track record of research productivity in terms of refereed publications and conference presentations. Demonstrated statistical and analytical skills and highly-developed communication skills are also expected.
This is a 2-year, full-time, fixed-term appointment at Research Academic Level A. The remuneration package will be in the range $81,545.80 - $87,535.13 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $95,408.59 - $102,416.10 p.a.)
