Job Description

Ensure the efficient and safe function of the laboratory, assist the PI in the management of the Center for Systems Neuroscience, and work on computational neuroscience and/or statistical research projects. Specific responsibilities shift with the needs of the lab and PI requiring a broad skill set with heavy emphasis on communication, organization, and time management skills. Work closely with the members of the lab to identify and resolve needs and problems such as safety concerns, administrative issues, supply or part acquisition, equipment training, animal care issues, and transgenic colony maintenance. Provide administrative support to PI for labs and the Center for Systems Neuroscience. Assist the PI in computational and statistical research projects as assigned.

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience or related field required. Concentration in computational or experimental neuroscience and/or experimental data analysis preferred. Competency in MATLAB required as well as strong communication and organizational skills. One to three years of experience required.
