Description of Work Unit
The Department exists to optimize human performance and participation in everyday occupations and contexts across the life span, a mission that guides its teaching, research, service and community outreach and engagement efforts. The Department currently offers three degrees, the M.OT and M.S., to prepare entry-level occupational therapists and an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Occupation and Rehabilitation Science.
The Department is home to a Center for Community Partnerships, an Assistive Technology Resource and a Center for Occupational Therapy Education. Students are actively engaged in these programs and with faculty members’ programs of research in occupational and rehabilitation science.
The Department resides in the College of Health and Human Sciences at CSU. Colorado State is a Land Grant university, a Carnegie Research university, and has been designated a Carnegie Community Engagement university.
The faculty member in this position will teach and advise at the graduate level; lead and administer the Center of Community Partnerships; and engage in service.
Required Job Qualifications
• PhD in occupational therapy or related degree
• Experience working with occupational therapists
• Record of teaching experience at the graduate level
• Record of mentoring graduate students
• Record of maintained scholarly productivity related to participation in everyday occupations and contexts
• Record of successful leadership
• Record of successful experience in administration, program development, fiscal and budget management
• Record of successful funding procurement
• Evidence of strong collaborations within and outside the profession
• Evidence of commitment to diversity and multicultural perspectives
Preferred Job Qualifications
• Eligible for licensure in Colorado
• Evidence of national/international professional reputation
