Position overview

The ANU Energy Change Institute (ECI) is looking for an experienced Communications Officer with an interest in energy change to work as part of a small team.  The position is available for part time hours between 20 and 25 hours per week with a flexible work pattern available.

This position is responsible for the communications needs of the ANU Energy Change Institute, and works in partnership with the staff of Science Administration, the Climate Change Institute and the University's Strategic Communications and Public Affairs unit (SCAPA) to provide external promotion and engagement. The role provides media, digital marketing and promotional support for the Energy Change Institute, including working to ensure alignment with University and College strategic and operational plans.   

The ECI provides authoritative leadership in energy research, education and public policy through a broad portfolio ranging from the science and engineering of energy generation and energy efficiency, to energy economics, regulation, security, sociology and policy. The ECI comprises more than 200 staff and PhD students from all 7 Colleges of the University, and over $100 Million in infrastructure and facilities, supported by a major portfolio of external grant funding. The ECI provides an overarching external profile for the University across all seven Colleges, and acts as a single point of entry to the ANU for external stakeholders interested in energy.
