Job description
Department: Information,Technology and Media Services
Full time, 35 hours per week

Main duties and responsibilities:
1. To work with others to provide a helpful, friendly and efficient service to customers in any part of IT Services.
2. To develop and implement of standards, procedures and documentation relating to the work of the Business Systems team.
3. Provide an IT support service for the staff & students.
4. Provide trouble shooting advice on software and hardware within the IT Services areas.
5. To manage the 3rd line service queue and liaise with the other IT support teams to ensure end to end resolution.
6. Act as first line support to customers with technical problems and queries from across the University.
7. To develop and add content to the internal knowledge base.
8. Identifying, developing and liaising with 'Super Users' within the system end user customer bases to act as primary contact points for discussions regarding issues, changes and enhancements to the systems in question, assist in change management (arrange testing, obtain sign-offs etc.) and generally represent the system end users on a day-to-day basis.
9. Undertake any other appropriate duties within IT as required.
