Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer/Assistant Professor in the UCD School of Geography. The successful candidate will have a strong training in economic geography and interests in applied and theoretical aspects of the field. Research and teaching focus areas might include, but are not limited to, technological change and economic development, political economy, urban and regional economies, and global production networks and value chains.

Applicants must have a PhD in Geography or an allied field, a strong, demonstrable commitment to research and publication, an ability to teach at University level, a capacity for graduate student supervision, excellent interpersonal skills, and a willingness to work with colleagues who have diverse interests but share the common goal of improving the standing of Geography in Ireland and globally.

Lecturer/Assistant Professor Scale: €50,807 - €76,936 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
