Careers Events and Information Manager
Salary: Up to £25,000.00 per annum, depending on experience
Status: Fixed Term, (Maternity Cover until December 2017), Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
Location: Greenwich Campus, with flexibility to work across all sites

About the role
We are now looking for an ambitious, Events and Information professional to support our busy Careers schedule. We face a set of challenges that provide an opportunity to gain a unique range of skills and experience and make a significant contribution to the growth and sustainability of the College. The Career Events Manager will join our Careers and Employability team to provide maternity cover the role will report directly in to the Deputy Director of Careers and Employability.
The key purposes of this role will be to:
- Provide comprehensive operational events management support to the Careers Education team in their delivery of events
- Proactively identify potential events, contributors and external opportunities for GSM London students
- Manage the annual Careers Fair, Part-time Jobs and Internships Fairs
- Monitor budgets for all events
- Ensure resourcing of events as required with Student Ambassadors
To be successful, you will ideally be degree qualified in a relevant subject discipline or possess equivalent experience, and demonstrate an understanding of event management. You must be able to work to deadlines and targets. The successful candidate will have a high level of customer service skills, combined with an attention for detail. You should have a detailed knowledge and understanding of event management. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the ability to think creatively, and work well within a team.
