This is a fixed-term appointment for 1 year

The LSE’s Department of Psychological and Behavioural Science seeks to recruit an LSE Fellow with expertise in the field of the Social Psychology of Communication and Organisations for one year, starting in September 2017.

You will teach on two of our MSc degrees: the MSc in Social and Organisational Psychology and the MSc Social and Public Communication, as well as contributing to other teaching responsibilities in the Department.

You should have research interests in Psychology with particular reference to the specialist field of the social psychology of communication and organisations. You will have a completed PhD in Psychology, or a closely related discipline, or be very close to having completed a PhD by the post start date. You will have experience of teaching, and the ability to teach the MSc Social and Organisational Psychology programme and also in the field of Group Dynamics (e.g., identity in organisations, leadership, group processes). It is desirable, but not essential, if you have some relevant practical experience of doing communications-related work in organisational settings. You should be able to evidence an evolving strategy for high-quality research that has the potential to result in internationally-leading publications. You should also have excellent written and oral communication skills.

The other criteria that will be used when shortlisting for this post can be found on the person specification.

We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave and excellent training and development opportunities.

For further information about the post, please see the job description and the person specification.

If you have any queries about applying on the online system, or require an alternative format for the application, please email hr.jobs@lse.ac.uk.

The closing date for receipt of applications is 20 April 2017 (23.59 UK time). Regrettably, we are unable to accept any late applications.

An LSE Fellowship is intended to be an entry route to an academic career and is deemed by the School to be a career development position.  As such, applicants who have already been employed as a LSE Fellow for three years in total are not eligible to apply.
