An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Director of Health Care Partnerships, working in the Faculty of Education and Health, which has a strong history of healthcare education. The individual will work closely with our well-established network of health care partners in London, Kent and the South East to enhance the quality of our provision in the current policy environment. The successful candidate will have extensive experience of working in partnership with a wide variety of health care settings and external professional agencies. They will also have a track record of creative leadership solutions to partnership and be expected to develop both the extent and quality of partnership across our health care and CPD programmes.      

The post-holder will be responsible for Faculty leadership in developing formal partnerships with local and regional health care providers and ensuring that the community partnerships in the Faculty are aligned to the University's overall strategy. This will include exploiting synergies and relationships with other related disciplines in the faculty.The post-holder will be a member of the Faculty Executive.

The faculty is based at the beautiful Avery Hill Campus located in the 86-acre Avery Hill Park in Eltham, south-east London, with part of the Faculty being based on the Medway Campus.

The University is seeking an ambitious senior leader to take over the role of Director of Healthcare Partnerships, within the faculty of Education and Health.

The faculty has long established, high quality partnerships with a wide range on Health & Social Care providers from the NHS. The university is committed to the continued development of these partnerships, there are over 100 staff involved in the delivery of health and social care teaching across a number of and highly successful undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to more than 2000 students. The faculty has a strong and expanding research base embedding evidence based practice across a number of areas including sexual health, positive ageing and critical care. The university intends to appoint a senior director with strong evidence of leadership, a excellent record of building and enhancing partnerships and evidence of developing new and innovative business opportunities.

The University will favour candidates with substantial experience of working in the Health and Social care sector and partnership working.
