The University of Winchester is committed to growing its teaching, research and consultancy portfolio and is seeking a Professor of Cyber Security and Computer Science to develop and lead its new and exciting digital initiatives. This ambitious plan will involve the development of a range of undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research programmes in cyber security and computer science with aspirations to develop a national and international reputation for teaching, research and knowledge exchange.  

The post holder will be expected to provide strategic leadership in establishing and developing an entrepreneurial and sustainable business plan for a portfolio of digital programmes. In addition, you will contribute to developing the academic discipline in terms of providing up-to-date continuing professional development for industry and other stakeholders outside the University through an innovative Cyber Security Unit.  

We are seeking a team member with excellent leadership, management, communication and negotiation skills who has the ability to shape and deliver a vision for computer science and cyber security provision, to facilitate collaborative partnerships and to secure funding to support research and knowledge exchange activity.
