UWE Bristol, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Creative Industries and Education

Creative, forward-thinking and bold, UWE Bristol is an ambitious University at the heart of one of the UK’s most vibrant cities. From the creative industries to robotics, we are recognised for our innovative teaching, our connectedness to industry, and our influential and high-impact research. Our students benefit from the expertise of leading experts in their fields and graduate as confident and able contributors to society.

We are now looking to appoint an outstanding individual to lead the Faculty of Arts, Creative Industries and Education. The Faculty is home to a diverse range of disciplines and exceptional partnerships. We deliver courses in collaboration with the BBC, and our unique City Campus, with learning spaces embedded within the iconic city centre locations of Spike Island, Arnolfini Gallery and Watershed, places students at the epicentre of Bristol’s creative activity.

With the benefit of significant University investment and support this is a superb role for someone keen to drive forward this exciting and ambitious Faculty. The new Pro Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean will need to be an inspirational and collaborative leader, with the drive to build on the Faculty’s successes across teaching, research, and knowledge exchange and deliver an ambitious agenda. Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, the appointee will be joining a dynamic management team and be expected to influence and contribute at a strategic and institutional level.
